Gordon is a highly regarded Kelowna architect and an
award-winning photographer.
He is well known for his community work; most notably in the public
art field and the heritage society. His photography has been exhibited
in numerous public art galleries and juried exhibitions throughout
western Canada.
His architectural training and practice in design and visualization
in both two
and three dimensions, has influenced and runs parallel to his photographic
activities. He is, in his own words, "going beyond the documentary
capabilities of the camera to make something extraordinary out of
the ordinary."

Artists Statement
"Motivated by a spirit of adventure, exploration and discovery.
Stimulated by the natural configuration of landforms and the eternal
process of mountain building and subsequent erosion, I seek to
convey the forces of nature - the laws of the universe - through
the medium of photography.
The next best thing to having the primary visual experience of
being there is to convey to others the flavour and feeling of
the location, sometimes using a detail or fragment to represent
the entire scene. My joy of photography is not only experiencing
visual excitement, but also sharing that experience with others
through a photographic image."
